It's Time To Take Out The Trashâ„¢

A weekly series on leadership, sustainability, systems, and voice.

Each reflection examines one belief, habit, or structure that may no longer serve — and asks:

Is this still aligned with where you're going?

New reflections are published every Thursday.

The goal is not reaction.
It is clarity.

The Cost of Staying Comfortable

Comfort feels responsible.

It feels stable.
It feels mature.
It feels safe.

But comfort has a cost.

Comfort keeps you in systems that no longer serve you.
Comfort keeps you tolerating dynamics you’ve outgrown.
Comfort keeps you quiet in rooms where your voice would shift direction.

Most people do not stall because they lack ability.

They stall because they confuse comfort with alignment.

Alignment sometimes creates discomfort.

Discomfort is not disrespect.

It is often clarity.

This week's question:
Where have you chosen comfort over clarity?
